Let the owls take us to the new face of 3D Animated films where can see pure artistry in whole sequence of the movie. Yes, this is another breathtaking film by Warner Brothers that surely be enjoyed by kids of all ages. This movie aims to inspire the youth to follow their dreams and to never give up in life. It is truly a wonderful film for the family that teaches the value of friendship, courage, determination and love for the family.
The plot of the story starts at the abduction of the two owlet brothers, Soren and Kludd. Now the young Soren must fly for his life to seek the help of the Legendary Guardians to save his brother and the other owlets from the evil hands of the Pure ones. On his journey, he will find some friends that will him in his quest and together they will make the new legends of tomorrow.
Now looking at the cinematography of the film, we can see the full effort given by the film editors. The film was really perfected because it maintained the quality and the right emotions in every scene of the movie. The graphics that they used in the film was able to standardize all the visual elements of the film that makes the movie more epic in a way.
Also, I really want to compliment the directors for having a really good taste in the variety of music used in the film. The songs of Owl City really made a strong impact in the film. I’m not really sure that it’s a coincidence that the name of the band matches perfectly to the characters of the film. I mean, it’s like an owl for an owl but anyway, let’s set aside that corny joke of mine because the point is, the background music really syncs perfectly in the scene where Soren is discovering his full potential as a flyer. I was really impressed of the how they maintain the balance of sound effects in the movie.
As for the voice actors, they have performed pretty well like were actually the characters they are portraying. I really like voice acting of Leigh Whannel as Jatt and Angus Sampson as Jutt, the owls that kidnapped Soren and Kludd, because of how they changed their voices completely from having a comedic tone to a much more deeper and scarier tone when they are talking about how scary they are.
The last thing that I want to comment is how they come up with its title, “The legend of the Guardian”. I was really laughing at myself after I realized how brilliant the writer of this film is because he uses a really good interpretation of the symbolism commonly for owls. I have known that the owls are called the “Night watchers” because they are asleep in the morning but fully awake at night and they really love to stay at branches of the trees near their hollows. So basically, the writer used the word Guardian as replacement to the word Night watchers.
The movie is really inspiring, me as a youth have my own dreams and my own beliefs and through this film. I realized that it is best to follow your heart and do everything you can to achieve your goals in life.
So spread your wings and fly, Feel the intense action in Soren’s quest to stop the pure ones and set foot in a journey to find the Guardian and let us take flight and witness an extra-ordinary world of the Owls of Ga’Hoole. It is really a nice movie to watch for the whole family to enjoy.
