Yugi-Oh Addiction

It's been 5 years since I first saw Yugi-Oh as an anime and I surely loved it. I remembered the days when I first finished my own deck, when I first won my first duel and of course, the first time I lost. Haha, good times and even though I'm a college student now, I'm still playing this card game. Although I can't found my old cards anymore especially the different card decks that I've made and I have no one to duel with, I was still able to play this game by the use of my Gameboy Advance (GBA) emulator in my computer. Now I'm currently playing the "Yugi-Oh GX Duel Academy" GBA rom which I'm always playing in my spare times.

Well one of the reasons why I love this game is because I'm learning while playing. I always say to my friends that this is not just a plain game because it enhances a players mathematical skills and English proficiency. It really helps a player to understand the nature of each card. Monster effects have different uses as well as the abilities of each spell and trap cards so the best way to put those abilities to use is to analyze and comprehend their special ability; this is where Yugi-Oh helps improve a player's English Proficiency. Now if we observe a duel very closely, we can see that Mathematics is always used in calculating the damage points to the opponent, in increasing your own life points and even the strengthening or weakening of a monster's attack or  defense. So come to think of it, I really learn something out from playing this game.

Anyway, another reason why I love this game is because of the anime itself. I remembered when I was still in the 6th grade until when I'm in my 3rd year of High school that I always spend 3 and 1/2 hours in a computer shop just for me to watch the Yugi-Oh series in YOUTube and after I finished this original series and when I found out about Yugi-Oh Generation X, I started on watching this new chapter of Yugi-Oh. While watching this new series, this ignites me more to play and love this game. Well for me, I like this Yugi-Oh GX more because this follows the rules and special abilities of the cards not like the original series where the animators always makes a twist on abilities of each cards. Besides I like the Characters more in GX but anyway the point is, whatever series it is, my love for the game will never change.

So for those who have something against this show or this game, well don't argue with me because everybody loves different things and it's better to just respect that.
