We always say, “The more, the merrier” in different occasions whether in parties, weddings, plain gimiks and even birthday parties. Now speaking birthdays yesterday is the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and what better way to commemorate it but to have fun with your family and friends together with your relatives.
Yup, yesterday is Christmas, the most awaited event of all and the Christmas celebration that I had yesterday is what I considered the best for I celebrated it with my whole family. I was so happy that day for I spend it bonding with all of my cousins. After lunch we had a small party where we all play games to get along to each other; well it’s been 6 years when we last saw each other so I can say that we really missed each other. So in that small gathering, we have loads of party games such as “Bring me”, “Stop dance”, “Paper dance”, “Pinoy Henyo” and a lot more. Although we have tons of games, the “Trip to Jerusalem” is what I can’t get out of my mind because I have made a complete fun of myself in that game. The game was tough until I realized that I’m competing against my little cousins. I was really ashamed of myself that time so in the last round, I gave the game to my 9 year old cousin.
After the games, of course it’s time for the gift giving. I was surprised that all of us will have a gift from our uncle. The gifts were categorized by gender and by age. The entire eldest child in the family was given a wrist watch from “Guess”, the second was also given a wrist watch from “Quartz” and the following have a remote control car for the boys and backpacks for the little girls. Honestly, most of us were surprised especially me because it’s really unexpected. It’s like Santa visited us on the exact day of Christmas.
The day didn’t end there because after the celebration, I went to SM Fairview with my cousin Khrysa whom I only met last two weeks in her little brother’s baptism. So there, we spend the time really get along with each other because it’s been a very long time since we last saw each other. Of course we are not the only one who went in that mall, our uncle and aunts are with us especially with her second mother, Tita Abby who introduced Southville to me. Inside the mall, we all split up so I joined my cousin Khrysa and Tita Abby in their shopping.
Well for me that day is the longest that I had in my life because dinner we were still cherishing the time we have with each other. Actually, it’s like we don’t want to be far away from each other especially my cousin named Meryllaine whom I think misses us all the most. I really can’t believe that our number is really large, about 22 and we all fit in a small house. We are like happy tunas in a sardines can. Anyways, we are so glad to have each other. We played Binggo all night and have a movie marathon of horror films. So basically we didn’t sleep.
Actually, we don’t want that day to end. It is not because it’s Christmas but because we all know the fact that the next day, we all depart once again and there is no saying when we will all see each other again. They say that good things must come to an end and I know for the fact that it’s true, this Christmas story of mine is a testimonial to that but no one can change the fact that this is really a great Christmas for me, for my cousins and for my whole family clan.
